Pipe organs of particular historic importance that are as close to original condition as possible deserve an especially detailed and considered approach when undertaking any work on them. Everything, from original materials and techniques to full post restoration reports, will be offered under a scheme of restoration. Careful research will be conducted to ensure the organ receives the appropriate attention akin to what its original builders would have provided. Instruments that fall under the restoration banner are far more likely to be eligible for grant provision under the various schemes available. We can offer you advice and guidance in undertaking any application for such offerings.

Restoration work to pipe organs is particularly rewarding and grants an opportunity to really connect with the history of both the instrument and the building.
It is often advisable to appoint an independent organ adviser for restoration projects and a list of these can be found here: https://aioa.org.uk/
