Tuning & maintenance
It is important for pipe organs to receive regular maintenance visits for the purposes of both tuning and repair. We offer this service throughout the south of England and further afield.
Cleaning & overhaul
Like any other item in a building, pipe organs get dusty and dirty. This can hinder their operation and reliability. It is hugely benefical to undertake a clean & overhaul every 15-25 years.
Restoration
Some instruments are deserving of extra special attention due to their providence and historic importance. Careful research and pursuit of supportive funding is required for such an undertaking.
Rebuilds
Occasionally a pipe organ might be deemed suitable for enlargement and/or alteration. This can include: re-location within the same building, new stops and replacement of actions.
Pipe organ protection & covering
When work is conducted in or around a pipe organ, it is important to provide mitigating protection against dust and debris ingress. It is often best that a pipe organ builder take on this responsibility.
